Airbus says it will "create" 770 jobs at its Broughton plant in Flintshire by taking on as staff agency workers who are on permanent contracts.
The announcement follows record orders for the company, including 180 A320 planes, the wings for which are made at Broughton.
There are also increased orders for the A380 superjumbo.
The plane maker currently employs nearly 6,000 at Broughton. The staff involved are on Blue Arrow contracts.
