Ministers are to give more details of European plans to boost cyber security.
Home Office minister James Brokenshire will update MPs on plans for an EU directive co-ordinating action against large-scale attacks on IT systems.
This would involve nations working more closely together to repel attacks on computer networks and tougher criminal penalties for offenders.
The coalition has identified "cyber terrorism" as one of the major security threats to the UK.
